Our team is led by local business people and local sailors with a commitment to make this campaign highly successful. Dan Turk has committed 3 years to building the Classglobe 5.80 by hand, sailing the boat on Lake Superior for nearly 2 seasons and the culmination of the boat testing was sailing solo from Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada to Portimao, Portugal. In addition to the races, it holds high value to all of us involved with this campaign, is to give back to the communities that we will be visiting by engaging youth in their communities in S.T.E.M. experiential learning.

By supporting us, you will be engaging local youth using the Sailing into S.T.E.M. model. We have been operating a not-for-profit corporation that engages youth in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics ( S.T.E.M. ) subjects using sailing as a learning platform.
