The story of a sailboat named Little Bea

from the Lumberyard to the North Atlantic.

Follow the wake of a small sailboat that is making big waves !  Hand built by Dan Turk during a global pandemic, Little Bea emerged from pine lumber and sheets of plywood. She was launched and sailed on Lake Superior before her ocean capable design was tested on the North Atlantic. Crossing the North Atlantic proved to be very challenging and rewarding at the same time; dodging tropical storms, surfing down large waves, experiencing amazing scenery and being escorted by dolphins all during the 3618 nautical mile journey on the open ocean.
